History
1984: Three brothers - Joe, Ken, and Vic Deranteriasian come together to build what would later be recognized as one of the top recording studios. What started off as a shared passion in music became a profitable venture in 1991 when Natalie Cole recorded her Unforgettable..with Love album that was certified 7x platinum and won the 1992 Grammy Award for Album of the Year. By 1995, Pacifique underwent a redesign and produced Will Smith's 9x platinum album Big Willie Style that took home 2 Grammy Awards. By 1999, the SSL J 9000 console was installed and utilized for several platinum and gold hits for artists such as Christina Aguilera, Will Smith, Destiny's Child, Enrique Iglesias, Jennifer Lopez, and Brandy. In the following years, Pacifique became recognized by Billboard magazine as one for the top mixing studios in the nation. By 2003, Pacifique housed two SSL K 9000 (96-input) consoles and continued to produce hits for Britney Spears, Prince, Shakira, Timbaland, 50 Cent, and Kanye West. While other studios have closed down, Pacifique still remains one of the few surviving studios due to the brothers' continued passion in the industry. For artists who do not want to compromise the quality of sound in favor of recording in the comfort of their home studios, Pacifique is THE professional destination that has kept its doors open for over 25 years.
